Keep Kids Active and Healthy During the Summer
National Summer Learning Association
Keeping children healthy and active during the summertime can be difficult. Without the structure and resources that the school year offers, children are at greater risk for weight gain and developing unhealthy eating habits.
National Summer Learning Association recognizes this issue and has compiled a Keep Kids Healthy and Active Flyer with tips to get kids moving and staying healthy in the summer.
Tips to keep kids healthy include:
-
Encourage your child to get outside and play
- Take a nature walk
- Ride a bike
- Join in on a neighborhood basketball or soccer game
-
Be active with your child
