Ingredients
- 3/4 cup enriched all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
Directions
- In a medium bowl, mix dry ingredients together.
- Add egg and scramble in bowl. Then slowly pour milk as you stir. Mix until all lumps have disappeared.
- On low to medium heat, place 2 tablespoons of batter on a non-stick skillet. Allow batter to cook until you see many bubbles forming on top and bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook for 30 seconds to a minute. Repeat 8 more times. You can do a few at a time!
- Pairs well with fresh fruit, such as blueberries!
One crumpet provides 1/2 oz eq grains.
