USDA Listening Session
Members of the CACFP Community were invited to share their experiences, ideas, and thoughts about how USDA can help serve adults in the CACFP.
Answers to polls and questions highlighted many issues CACFP providers face including dietary needs for older populations and how adult meal patterns allow operators to substitute yogurt for the milk component at one meal or snack and that at supper, neither milk nor yogurt is required.
What are some of the challenges you face when providing meals to adults through CACFP?
Adult in the CACFP refers to an adult day care center participant who is 60 years of age and older or a chronically impaired disabled person 18 years of age and older.
